Can you actually believe it is 2019? It feels like it was only yesterday we were ringing in 2018. As an old year closes and a new year begins it can be easy to dwell on the past and ponder on the events of days gone by, but the truth is 2019 is a new year, a fresh start and an ocean of possibilities.

The Beach

Life is short, and a Sandy Swim loving girl knows how to truly make the most of it. But we wouldn’t be human if life didn’t present some obstacles, right? This is why when life throws us curves we learn to swerve. Seriously, if it’s not going to matter in 5 years is it really worth worrying about? Believe in the power of new horizons and trust that what is coming is better than what has passed.

At the end of the day always remember that salt water can heal almost anything.

Let Your Dreams Set Sail.

Let Your Dreams Set Sail

There is no time like the present. You will never have enough money or enough time. Stay true to yourself and just go for it! Devise a plan, implement a strategy, and take one step forward in the direction of your dreams. Baby steps are totally ok. Take your time when pursuing what sets your soul on fire. We all know that when you are living a life you love you feel happier and lighter on your feet.

Make 2019 the year where you love life and life will love you right back. The moment you commit to something and make a decision the universe will help you.

Just keep swimming.

Beach Yoga

It may seem like a New Years cliché but it is so important to look after your physical health. Exercising may not be your most favorite thing to do, so why not incorporate it with what you love the most?

If you are lucky enough to live by the beach, head down to the shore and make your local beach your new gym. Bring some hand weights, grab your best beaches and go for a jog along the sand. You will be sure to work up a sweat, and afterwards you can dive into the ocean to cool down followed by a salute to the sun to complete your beach body workout.

Don’t live by the sea? How about some indoor yoga with the sound of the ocean playing in the background? YouTube has some great beachside yoga workouts to help you really get into a beach state of mind while also strengthening you body.

Plan a Vacation

Vacation by the Beach

Whether you plan on taking a vacation or not in 2019 there is no doubt that somewhere in this world there is a place you dream of visiting. Maybe you long to explore The Great Barrier Reef in Australia, the clubs of Miami, a resort in Mauritius, or the Amalfi Coast this summer?

No matter where your dream destination might be just get planning.

Start a dream board, look at it every day, and remind yourself that this is one of the reasons you work so hard. It may not happen in 2019 but one day it will. In the meantime the more you are visually reminded of your dream destination the happier you will feel – trust us on this one.

Belief and imagination manifest reality. Start manifesting your dream vacation.

Treat Yourself

Self Care

You might think that treating yourself would be the easiest resolution of all. But, if you are anything like us it’s easy to get tied up with the busy tasks of your day-to-day lives that you literally can forget to reward ourselves.

Ever felt guilty for delaying a project because you decided to take the day off to relax at the beach? Don’t worry – we have all been there. In 2019 remind yourself that it is totally ok to take some time out for self care. With the closing of one year can come some serious burnout. Proudly take time for yourself – your future self will thank you.

Take care of you.

A New Year can be the beginning of anything you want. Whatever you in 2019, make sure you do you and do it fabulously.
